Qui quilters perhaps?
This was because there were beachside fences to be mended whilst photo school projects were written up (CB), a family birthday to be celebrated (HT) and more dolphins needing to be spotted (EL).
So it was a subdued HW and CD that settled themselves down to giant dahlia quilts only to be nearly instantly disturbed by the postman...
but look what goodies he brought...
Two special "Lucy" packs from the wool warehouse ... think CD is going to be busy for quite some time! And as if that wasn't enough there was some sparkly stuff too....think someone is thinking "Christmas" very early in the year....
Anyway ...back to the business of the day ...cutting out petals for giant dahlia quilts....
The next ring of the doorbell was AB joining us ....just in time for a cuppa...
...and then straight on with continuing crochet lessons....
Its amazing how time flies when you're having fun, in no time at all it was lunch time...
It was a fabulous lunch...we munched well and ignored the weather as best we could....
A quick show and tell of one of CD's alternative projects....
nearly distracted us from a break in the down pours and we nearly missed an opportunity to take a constitutional stroll around CD's garden...
What a lovely ending to a lovely day of productive chit chat
Bet the rky half of the quilters wishes they hadn't missed this particular day with the Qui quilters!!
Look at all that photography I missed!!! AND look at all that wool - can't wait to see what that turns into!!!
ReplyDeleteDolphins don't quite make up for missing you Quirkies! And AB you have now surpassed my crochet skills - I better stop renovating and start crafting!! E
